Well, they did get a couple names wrong in the article!
“Anna May Jones” should be “Anna May” and “Minane Anderson” should be “Minane Jameson”.
Another comment I heard this week about this write-up is a reminder that Cherryland is not actually in the City limits. It’s in the “unincorporated” part, not in the City of Hayward.
Also, starter homes can be purchased for less than $300,000 in many Hayward neighborhoods and condos can be purchased at an amount hovering below $100,000…

Hi Anna, I was going to email you anyway, I read the article by Jennifer Shaw in Sunday’s paper. You painted a very broad picture of why a potential buyer should look to buy in Hayward as well as the other contributors.I was also excited to see we have a new Bio Fuel company here Aurora Algae, they chose to relocate here, since it is close to Stanford & UC Berkeley. I read that Hayward has a 25% vacancy in research & development properties, it would be great if we could be put on the map in this new frontier. Linda
Hi Anna, I read the article, you painted a broad picture for a potential buyer that picked up the Real Estate Section as well as the other contributors I am also excited that Aurora Algae has chose to relocate here, One of the reasons is that we are so close to Stanford & UC Berkley, I understand that there is a 25% vacancy rate for Research and Development properties it would be nice if we could fill them up and put Hayward on the map for Greentech.
